Its Saturday the 1st of January and the sun is shining.
Lemmy says cloud base 7,000ft probably no wave. Gosh does that mean thermals?
The team for this competition consists of
The Chief-Max Stevens Chairman of the organising Committee
Task Setters- Gavin WIlls, Gerry O'neil and others who will be shoulder tapped during the first week.
Weather - Lemmy Tanner
Scorer - Lex
Safety & Airspace - Trevor Mollard
Radio - Sue Wild & Paula Ruddick
Tug Master - Darren Smith
Grid - Team from Youth Glide
Competition Director, Grid Marshal, Retrieve Co-ordinator, Mower Driver - your scribe
Even with the smaller field of competitors this year all these volunteer positions still need to be covered.
We expect to launch 25 competitors on the first day(Monday).
4 * Open Class
8* 18metre
13 * Standard/15 metre
There is no club class at this competition is a seperate contest being held in Matamata in February.
Two years ago the equivalent competition attracted 38 contestants. The economic situation is obviously affecting many. I assume this, because I cannot believe we have lost 13 competition pilots from the happy band of adrenalin junkies.
Keep it up

Whew
After a severe case of frustration and asking for help. (Tim Bromhead) Have discovered Google documents.
Tis a brilliant tool for creating entry forms. Dont even really have to be a geek:-))
The form layout is very simplistic because thats what the Form creator allows. Entries are then accumulated in a spreadsheet. Brilliant for Contest Organisers really. Now you can organise entries without having to get a geek to organise a website form for you.
Now........if only there was a converter to take the spreadsheet and turn it automatically in to a Seeyou CUB type scoring file. That would be heaven.
3 Entries so far :-))

b) Email all Sailplane Racing Pilots
In the mean time keep sending the emails to register for early bird discount
